From May 13 to 15, the Food 4 Future Expo 2025 turned Bilbao into a meeting point for experts and relevant actors in food-tech and sustainability. The event brought together thousands of professionals to explore how innovation can shape the future of the food industry.
During these 3 days of event, attendees had the opportunity to engage in a variety of sessions addressing the challenges and opportunities within the agri-food sector. The BETTED project led a dedicated session on May 15 titled “Energy Efficiency in the Dairy Sector: Innovation and Technology”, serving as the project’s midterm conference. The session, moderated by FIAB, explored the crucial role of energy efficiency in the dairy industry, the EU policies driving the energy transition, and innovative technologies aimed at decarbonising dairy production processes.
The session included as speakers partners from FIAB, UNIBS, IEECP, EHPA, IIR and COVAP, company from the Spanish food industry presenting their success story on the Dairy Sector.

Beyond the session, BETTED project was promoted throughout the event by distributing materials and engaging with attendees at FIAB’s stand, reinforcing the project’s visibility.
