Registration is now open for the BETTED Final Conference!
After months of collaboration, knowledge exchange and practical activities across Europe, the EU-funded BETTED project is approaching an important milestone: its Final Conference, taking place on 2 December 2026 in Brussels.
Under the theme “From Results to Action – Accelerating the Energy Transition in the Dairy Sector”, the event will bring together industry representatives, energy experts, technology providers, European associations, policymakers and project partners to explore how the project’s results can support a more energy-efficient and sustainable European dairy value chain.
Turning knowledge into practical solutions
Throughout its implementation, BETTED has worked to promote energy efficiency and facilitate the adoption of innovative technologies and solutions across the dairy value chain.
The Final Conference will provide an opportunity to discover the project’s main achievements, explore the tools and resources developed, and discuss how these results can be applied and replicated across the European dairy industry.
Participants will gain insights into:
- Energy efficiency opportunities in dairy processing, highlighting potential improvements across production processes.
- Heat pumps and renewable energy integration, exploring technological solutions to support the sector’s energy transition.
- The BETTED Toolbox and decision-support resources, designed to help dairy businesses identify and assess energy efficiency measures.
- Lessons learned from implementation, sharing practical experiences and insights from project activities.
- Future opportunities for replication, including recommendations for industry stakeholders and policymakers.
Looking beyond BETTED
Beyond presenting the project’s results, the conference will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss the challenges facing the dairy sector and explore how the knowledge and solutions developed within BETTED can continue to support energy efficiency improvements.
Particular attention will be given to the potential for replicating the project’s outcomes across Europe, encouraging their wider uptake and long-term impact beyond the project’s lifetime.
